Favourite Yorkshire Dales Walk

Well down on my list after the Malham/Janet's Fosse/Goredale/Malham Tarn/Water Sinks/Malham
Cove classic.

Then I would prefer Horton/Penyghent/Foxup Road/Hull Pot before Clapham/ Ingleborough.

From Clapham my favourite route goes over towards Moughton Scars and Beggar's stile, taking in the
Norber Erratics. There is the finest view of limestone pavements from one spot on the latter route.
Is it Sulber Gate where you slip through a small gate and the pavements are spread out below?

Coming up with one is too tough. The walk from Malham Tarn past lonely Middle House farm, then down
the old pack trail to Arncliffe is a favorite. I also liked very much the road walk from Askrigg
over to Oxnap Bridge in Swaledale (east branch of the road.) The track from Stalling Busk to Cray
brings the walker close to both rock and sky. Will you consider the Howgill Fells? If so, from
Bowderdale to Sedbergh, along the West Fell. Finally, the walk between Settle and Malham, via the
Attermire Scar and Stockdale Farm.

I agree with you on your choices. they are good. Plover Hill is a quag though!
