put my fixed wheel into my regualr commuting mtb
(havent quite got the 'pig'SS ready yet!) and spun into work.
Got sucked into (why, oh why?) chasing down another guy up ahead and then caught him at the bottom of a hill.
Cos I had to stomp it up the hill he took it as a personal challenge and flogged me the rest of the way in!

Hippy, youre right re too many choices tho. Just riding and not fiddling is way cool.
Really wanna do the roadie fixie now tho...

Whitehorse peak hour. dont like the sound of that. Dont mind main roads in general but the 3-laners where people sit on 60-80 changeing lanes aint my idea of fun!

Am I right in guessing that trackies dont blow as much doe on bikes cos they long ago realised their legs are the only important thing?

I don't really think about it like that. It's the most direct route (I hate turning corners.. maybe that's why I crash so much? 🙂 ) so
I take it most of the time unless I'm feeling adventurous (rare).

I don't have it yet. There's a 4-6 week wait on the type I ordered due to it being road spaced and most people buying the 135mm's for MTB use. With the frame from bikesoiler I wont actually need the ENO because I'll be able to run my track wheel in the horizontals... ENO will be built up though..

There's a little bit of 'word of mouth' sales at clubs. Some shops deal with track stuff but it's mostly new parts like Miche groupsets.

So you haven't seen one of those $7000 BT frames then? Or the $5000 Campag um.. forgotten the name... oh yeah... Ghibli wheels?

No, trackies can spend just as much, if not more than roadies
due to the likelihood of using a custom frame, etc...
Of course, noobs like me can get a whole setup for $500.

Track parts are sold in lower quantities and take much longer to be replaced I figure - that's why they are harder to get.
