folded up tyre ?!?!?

I remember reading about older rims not having a hooked sidewall to hold the tires on as they do now.
Hows your head as it must be large with info? Does any of this sound right or is it,as your thinking,i'm full of it?

So? It has to be put in the right context. You seem to have a problem with that. And not all rims were that way, just due to being old. Overflating is not the way to figure out what you have, or is that not obvious?? You are wasting valuable corner time here.......

I was never going to overinflate the thing! I rode it today on the most gravelly bumpy roads I could find and the thing worked a dream so I'm happy.
