Use some clear Contact. Stick on pads in many designs, inc CF, can be bought from bike shops.

BBB make sheet of protective strips in transperant or carbon fibre pattern available at most aussie bike shops .

Forget paying big bucks for those "special" fake carbon stickers. Get a roll of wide clear packaging tape and off you go. Obviously you should cut it to shape and put it in the appropriate locations. I am even using this on my left chain-stay to prevent damages by chain whips.

I've got a new bike and the covered cables near the head stem rub on the headstem/fork/frame, on my old bike the cables rubbed right through the paint work. I was thinking something like the screen covers designed for ipods/PDAs would do the trick but was thinking someone else must have a better/cheaper solution. Its a carbon fibre frame if that makes any difference.
