Frame Size Help

Stay with the right size, upgrade to a higher level of components, 2100, if you can't find a 1500/60 at another shop.

You'd be lucky if any standard bike fits you "perfect" as you say, you are probably just used to what you've got.

You can't get a bike-fit based only on your height, there are a lot of other variables not least how much and what sort of riding you intend doing on the thing.

Find shop that has someone certified to fit you and get a professional sizing (usually $150-200). Figure out what size/geometry you need then go look at bikes. Please DO NOT settle for a certain bike because that is all they have. After a fitting you may find that another brand has a bike that would technically fit you better. You never know. We waiting 10wks for Waterford to make my wifes last frame and it was well worth the wait. Keep looking and if they try to tell you it will work just fine, go to a different shop.

If your LBS will let you test ride the bike with a longer stem give it a shot and see how it feels. Save the $200 from a "profesional" sizing and put it towards some component upgrades.

Aren't the 1000 & 1500 frames identical? If so it doesn't sound like much of an upgrade. Another thought is to just buy new components and keep your 1000 frame, since it fits great and your size isn't available in the 1500. Just a thought.
