OK. Let's just say that it's not a good idea to test your rear brake on a

I did a similar thing during a king cycle test when I was a teenager. Brand
new Specialized Armadillo Tyre written off in the process. I didn't brake
though, I took off my top and it caught in the wheel. Nasty...Andy Cox

Stuck my bike in the back of the car, with the wheels off, went round to
a friends house, stuck his in the back with the wheels off, drove off to

had been enough for it to cut through it. A problem I simply hadn't
thought of before. It wasn't a mere puncture, either - the tyre was
ruined.Moral of the story, be very careful when transporting wheels. I now
transport mine in wheel bags, but I'm much more careful how I pack them
into the car anyway.--
