1. It is very much worth it. Much better than Timex unit. Had mine 2 weeks now and LOVE it.

Is the speed calculation accurate enough for judging running speed? I used a hand help GPS a few
years ago (pre-WAAS, 2 channel), and it was useless at slow speeds (below 20mph).

Mine tells the speed just fine. I don't use that feature much, I prefer ppm.

Yes - I believe that it is lower in price than any of the compting products - Fitsense, Nike, Timex
- and has better overall functionality and performance. I have a Fitsense unit that worked pretty
well for about 18 months and then started giving flaky pace and distance.
