This is going to sound really stupid, but what is the secret to using the gel flasks? I dump my gels
into these things but have a [censored] of a time getting it outa there! Are you suppose to put like 4
packets of them into one flask with a little water to help it to come out or what? What does
everyone else do? I hate eating the gels right from the packet while riding the bike. It takes too
long and I hate carrying the garbage with me. Any thoughts? Mark

Yup, cut the gels with water. Keep the flask angled downward (or at least flat).

be 5 gels worth) and fill the remainder with water. That gives me a consistency that can actually
be squeezed out, yet is not too liquid. The Gu Flasks are smaller, so you'll sort of have to
balance that out.Also, keep them pointed nozzle-down. I have no problem doing this, simply carrying them in my left
hand while running.--

Hammer gel works for me. It get a little thick on colder days. Haven't tried splitting it.
It also significantly cheaper than buying teh single serving stuff. I also use the fuel belt
gel flask. Usually filled 2/3 full as all the way full I start to notice it as heavy and a
bit bouncy on the run. I use a similar flask mounted to a holder on the top tup. Seems to
work up until it's about empty then it takes a bit to start flowing. Not a huge problem on
the bike though.~Matt

NO, I have been doing it for years. I am serious and would not think of passing info I thought was
not worth considering. I often mix Metabolol with coffee to make a gu and put it in my bottles.Ken
