giant NRS ?

I am a Giant fan. But, I have been checking out the Specialized website. I love the NRS series, but for the money you are looking to spend. I would definately take a look at the Specialized FSRXC. I like the component package on it. The website has the MSRP at $1250. Or you could look at the Specialized FSR XC Pro Disc, msrp is $1470.

components can be upgraded - get the better frame.

Giants are great bike - so are Specializeds.

You can get a complete Santa Cruz Blur for 1500 english pound here in Malaysia.
A real sweet bike.
A complete NRS2 would be around 800 pound.
