  1. I know there have been a couple of threads about this. None which
helped. Since my 20" is out of commisson for awhile i thought that i
would try some giraffe tricks. Its a cheap one so i an't going to hop on
it. I can go backwards pretty good, idle and 1 foot idle. Any other
    suggestions?

Also i am thinking about performing for a festival that is held in our
town. I believe it is like May 28. I was wanting to perform and try to
raise a little extra money. Should i charge for them to try it? Should i
let them try? What should i do? It would be from like 8 to 7 pm but i
probably wouldn;'t perform that whole time. DUH. Any suggestions??

  2. Hopping shouldn’t hurt it, I have a sun or a savage giraffe and hop on
it. For tricks you could try seat out riding and see how far you can get
it from your body, 1 foot ride if you can, or 1 foot idle and stick you
free foot as far out as you can to make it look cooler. You could try a
    unispin if your really brave.

  3. How about getting some pegs and riding it with your hands? Shouldn't be
    too hard.

Also try spins and backward one-footed riding, crank idle, and just
about any other non-wheel walking skill except seat drag. Skills as
advanced as pirouettes and side ride have been done on giraffes.

  4. jsm- do you mean backwards one footed
or do you mean backwards, one footed...as in two different tricks?

  5. I mean the level eight skill where you ride backward using only one
foot. Backward riding and one-footed riding had already been mentioned.

I wonder if seat drago would be possible on a giraffe.... I bet it
would, except for getting into and out of it would be almost impossible.
maybe if you had pegs on it, then you could ride with your hands, then
drop the seat and frame on to the ground, jump on to the pedals, and
ride.... then do that backwards to get back up. hrmm.

Certainly conventional seat dragging would be dificult, because the seat
would be generating a lot of friction, as it would be bearing a substantial
part of your weight. You would need something to make it slippery, or some
mini wheels to allow it to roll without damage. Otherwise, try it only on
    a smooth floor .

Take care. Seat-out on a giraffe can get out of hand quickly in which
case you might land squarely on the pedals.

  8. I like the pegs idea but my axle is too short to put them on. I can get
them on one side but the other side is too short. Any suggestions??

I also added a homemade device where i can place my free foot while
    doing one foot tricks.

I am starting to be able to one foot ride it pretty good.

I will try to add pics later.

Ive done it quite a bit on my giraffe, I can get the seat about 10" away
from my self before leverage and gravity take over.

  10. If you want to do a seat drag, you might fabricate a bumper to place
    over the normal one.

  11. Well i can ride it one footed now. Still learning though. Also, I can
now do the rolling mount onto it. I learned that in just a couple of
days. Thanks for all the suggestions.
