  1. Here are the profiles for some of the really big climbs for this years Giro (linked from www.salite.ch).

    Stage 8:
    salite.chlanciano.htm

    Stage 13:
    salite.chsancarlo.htm

    Stage 14:
    salite.chsimplon.htm

    Stage 16:
    salite.chbondone.htm

    Stage 17:
    salite.cherbe2.htm
    salite.ch8001.htm

    Stage 19:
    salite.chstaulanz.htm
    salite.chfedaia1.htm
    salite.chpordoi1.htm
    salite.chsan17.htm

    Stage 20:
    salite.chtonale.htm
    salite.chgavia1.htm
    salite.chmortirol1.htm
salite.chaprica1.htm (not rated as a GPM for some reason but still a climb).

  2. Great. Check the Mortirolo! That is cruel! King of all climbs by average gradient!

And Aprica is not a GPM because even Jimmy Casper can`t be dropped on a climb like that. So it would be very unusual if Petacchi and McEwen would sprint for a GPM. Thats why..😄

  3. The Giro's site in Gazzetta dello Sport has excellent profiles from the climbs.

  4. The best of all races`! Altimetry is great and they also have planimetry. A lot better than TdF`s and Vuelta`s profiles.

  5. Thought I might bump this up so people can have a look at the profiles for tomorrows monster stage. Those climbs look really, really nasty.

  6. Every cyclist should do Mortirolo atleast once in his/her life ;-)
Saturday i'll be there or on Gavia but this snow banks and cold could make me decide for Mortrolo 🙂
