Okay, first things first. How come out of all you wise sages nobody told
me about the effect of spectacles on my depth perception? Right off the
hop that was what I first noticed.
The second thing that I noticed was how clear and sharp were the
freckles on the cleavage of the lady dealing with me. Once I realized
that checking out my new found visual acuity on a woman's cleveage might
not be the most appropriate use of my time I started looking around the
shop. There wasn't anything that I couldn't read. It was all crystal
clear. Then I got up and tried walking.
Giant steps. The floor wasn't where my body thought it would be. So much
for over 40 years of kinetic muscle memory! Stairs were fun for a first
timer with glasses...
They are light, they offer a tremendous improvement for my vision. I
feel a bit queasy every now and then. I think that's just a bit of an
adjustment period for me.
These things will totally rock when riding time comes around again!
As soon as I can I'll post some pics so that you can all laug... errr...
admire my new look!
Thanks again to those of you that took the time to pass along some of
your wisdom!
