Nice, the San Gabriel's are my local favorite.
It is a short ride but Mt. Waterman is beautiful; big trees, big views, go
before it is snowed in for the winter, summit is over 8,000. You can do a
loop through the ski resort, but I like to ride the singletrack to the
summit and back. To bad it is next to the wilderness area it limits access
to other trails in the area.
It is sort of close to Chilao for some more fun.
