Had a problem with getting a recent Wiggle order delivered. I've never
had such a problem before, so I'm wondering if perhaps they have changed
to a new courier firm. Has anyone else had any similar problems with
Wiggle recently?
Here's the full story...
About three weeks ago, I placed an order for some inner tubes. On
Tuesday 22 August, I got an email saying that the order had been
dispatched. Great, I thought, but the package had still not arrived on
Friday 25 August when I set off for my holiday. Never mind, I thought,
it will be there waiting for me when I get back. It wasn't. Nor was
there a card to say that the courier had made any attempt to deliver a
package.
So, on Sunday I fired off an email to Wiggle to ask what has happened. I
got a reply on Tuesday that said the courier has had trouble locating my
address[1] and I need to contact the firm directly to give instructions.
Why Wiggle waited two weeks for me to get in touch with them before they
shared this information is anyone's guess, but let's not worry about
that now and instead just get in touch with the courier to get the
package delivered...
However, before I have had a chance to do so, I get another email
(yesterday) saying the courier has returned the item back to Wiggle.
Marvellous! Wiggle say they will refund the cost of the purchase but not
the delivery charge. Hardly fair, you might think, when the problem is
Not My Fault, but fortunately I had chosen the free delivery option so
Ya Boo Sucks! to them.
I shall place the order again (unless someone can recommend another good
source of cheap tubes - it was a particularly good deal Wiggle were
offering) but if anything goes wrong with it this time, I shall be Very
Cross!

1. A courier that can't find an address? That would be the Chocolate
Teapot Courier Co, I guess. Surely the sole raison d'etre of courier
firms is their ability to find addresses - or am I being unreasonable in
my expectations? It's hardly as if I live in the middle of nowhere.
