  1. Odd thing this morning.

Had a bit of a headache and thought ill ride through it - about half way through my ride it had all
but gone (but i still felt a bit queasy) - got to work and was ok, now its coming back again.

Odd that the ride helped me really (this isnt a hangover headache!!!) - another benefit of
    riding to work!

Why odd? A cycle ride is a cure for many minor ills -- headaches of the normal and the one pint too
many variety, minor colds, coughs etc. all seem better after a few miles on a bike.

Its the endorphins strengthening your immune system (or telling you not to be such a wuss).

It might be actually! Hangover headaches are often dehydration (or other imbalances) headaches etc.

So you need some hula-hoops and a pint of water.

I currently have been wussing out of my commute as a result of a sinus infection that has lingered after a wekend of flu. So I should just suck it up and ride? (and maybe farmer blow every mile or so)

Well interestingly it helped me - spose it depends how far you have to go/terrain etc.

Id say go for it (if you feel upto it of course)

I wouldn't. Be careful after flu.

Basically, how do you feel? I tend to wuss out of bigger rides when I don't feel good. A cold is one
thing, flu quite another. Most colds I ride through -- bad ones or flu type jobs that knock the
stuffing out of you and make you wonder who nicked your bones are not fun and so I tend to stay at
home or just ride for very short runs -- even down to about a mile. The weather also affects my
choice. On a fine bright winter day a ride seems to clear the tubes in seconds whereas the same ride
could not be done on a warm muggy day.

Sounds like you should wuss a little longer.

Real flu, don't (but with real flu, you debate whether you can manage getting out of bed, in my
experience, not whether you can ride to work).

Colds, misc bugs, general grottiness, I ride, taking it easy (very easy if needs be), and on one
occasion went right round teh roundabout at teh end of the road and returned to my bed. In general,
however, a gentle ride makes me feel better.
