  1. Hi everyone,
Just checking in. Still maintaining my weight. I run #157 to #161. 4lb
float is tolerable. Still riding about 20 miles a day on my bicycle.
Sometimes I do it in 2 trips though. Weather has been terrible in the
    PNW.

Still don't recognize the girl in the mirror though. My body has
settled since the lower body lift. I am a 10 in non stretch jeans and
an 8 in stretchy athletic wear. 12/14 on top. Im almost 3 years out,
still LC'ing. Larry is still 210 and wears a 34 pants and a mens
Medium in shirt. MY GAWSH! Who WOODA thunk it! I saved a pair of my 4X
leggings. Lar and I get into them with room to spare!

Last month had a bit more surgery done under my chin. Didnt quite get
the results I was looking for the first time so doc lipo'ed and
tightened once more at no extra charge. So.... now you look at me and
there is nothing showing under my chin. That Versed and Fentynl is
weird [censored]! I don't remember any of the procedure or taking the
wheelchair ride to the car. Lar said I was talking normal and asked to
go to BigLots on our way home. Guess I went in and spent $70. We got
home and he carried sacks in and I asked him if he went there while I
was in surgery and he said "No you did" HUH????????? LOL. I dont
remember shopping. Probably shouldnt have but poor Lar had no idea
about the narcs on board and he innocently took me where I wanted to
    go.

I am so busy playing catch as of yet. So much to do each day. I'm even
toying with working part time, not because I need to but because I now
can!!! I havent worked a job since 1995!!!!! I go too fat to do it.
Weisfields offered me a book keeping job part time during the upcoming
    holidays. Might do it.

Well off and running. Hope you are all safe and well.
    Fondly,
    Laureen

  2. Good to hear from you, Laureen. Impressive miles on the bike, too! I wish
I could fine a way right now to ride 20 miles a day! I have to put mine on
    the weekend these days.

Thanks for the report. Best wishes to you and Lar!

And that is why we advise our patients not to drive or make serious legal
decisions for 24 hours after surgery. Versed is a truly wonderful drug.

  9. 20 miles per day?

I find myself drifting to Disneyland and the famous words before the Pirates
of the Caribbean waterslide, "Dead men tell no tales."

    I'm still opposed to WLS.

I'm not wishing ill for Laureen. I fear that her example may lead others to
    doom.

Oh for Gawds Sake Cubit. It's done said and over with. What do you
wish for me Cube??? You fear? Hmmmm Bots dont have feelings. WHy the
    concern Cube???
No one twisted my arm to this and I don't go around recruiting
people. AAMOF, I rarely talk about it. I have company in my house
right now from Puyallup, Wa ( they are out at dinner as I am home
canning tuna fish). She hasnt seen me in 10 years. She saw me, made a
comment about the significant change and asked me if I felt better. I
said "Yep" and END OF SUBJECT!!!! I signed for this life, I have been
fortunate to have no complications other than a severe drop in my iron
    that is remedied easily.

No one has walked in my shoes therefor no one should assume anything
or judge me such as you have. It was my life, not yours, not one of
your family members. It was freaking ME! I was willing to take the
gamble because I truly felt I was dying. No let me rephrase
that........ I knew I was dying. I was truly ill and my problem was
way beyond anything I alone could do about it. With that in mind, I
was the one who decided to do it all alone. I was the one who almost
ruined my marriage coming home and blurting out to DH that " I am
going to have WLS" He was absolutely ired that I would make such a
decision without even consulting him but I did. I WAS FREAKING
DYING!!! I was going to die anyway so lay me on the table and let me
risk my life there. If I die in the next 2 years at least I have spent
the last almost 3 year living a happy fruitful life. Fare trade IMHO.

Now as for DH. We had a rocky road for 11 months. I never once
suggested he do this but he saw how I changed in every way. He liked
the new me and saw the freedom and liberty I was experiencing and he
decided to do it himself also. He was incredulous for the first 6
months. He mourned his old wife, eating partner and my food. All in
all I would do ALL of this again in a heart beat NO REGRETSS
    Laureen

  11. Laureen,

You are an inspiration! Plain and simple. I remember your story from
years back and I know how you struggled. I'm so glad to hear that you
    are healthy and happy.

    Way to go girl!

I started somewhere around the 180-190 range back in 2002...I've been
hovering around 122 for years. Viva low carb!
