why is everyone so quick to blame everything on the youth of the world?

Actually I'm not sure, but it was almost 30 years ago since I was
underground. It was more they made a huge pile of sense because there
was always small bits of the roof subcumbing to gravity {:-(.

Also very handy to have up on your head because the light was designed
to clip onto it and it was kinda hard picking up pit props, roof beams
and those humungous cables with one hand.

Not to mention what happened when the crew car hit a floor hump.

why is everyone so quick to blame everything on the youth of the
world?

No but what a strange night it was. Dead tired. Slept for 30 minutes.
Woke up. Couldn't sleep at all. Watched Hawthorn v Carlton, soon fast
asleep. Woke up 5am to find the TV and lights on and an owl flying
around the living room, crashing into in to walls, bookshelves, etc. I
thought maybe he/she couldn't see due to the excess light. So i switched
everything off. The owl then landed on the keyboard of my computer,
waking it up from sleep. Well, there wasn't much I could do. I wasn't
going to tangle with an owl at that time of day. Last I saw before
heading off to bed, was the owl staring at the screen, presumably trying
to work out how to log-in.

In the morning various suggestions were made about the reason's for the
owl's visit and whether it was any sort of omen. Others reported
sightings of the owl in the garden. I think the best was that the owl
had seen my eyebrows and assumed I was some sort of giant owl god.

I've taken the hint and trimmed my eyebrows, they were beginning to poke
me in the eyes, so it was a safety issue.
