Could someone pls tell me what I'm doing wrong? I walk seven miles a day, five days a week and still can't get rid of this beerbelly. BTW I don't drink alcohol and have not raised my calorie intake since starting walking. I have been walking for four months.

Walking is a great exercise but unless you're consuming less calories than you need you won't lose weight. Try tracking your calories for a few days to determine your current daily calories. Many suggest 10 x current weight as the level of calories needed to lose weight - this may vary based on your age, level of exercise, etc. Make sure the calories you are consuming contain fruits, vegetables, adequate protein and healthy carbs such as whole grains. With exercise and the proper calorie level you should start to see a weight loss.

Do you walk fast?

I found a program at about.com on learning to walk faster. I will try to follow that and also to lower my calories. They give a suggested weekly schedule that includes speed, aerobic and distance workouts.
