An online petition has been set up to collect signatures with the hope of convincing the suits at OLN TV to broadcast the Vuelta a Espana [Tour of Spain] in its entirety.

As announced by the modertator of the OLN forum, OLN TV will only broadcast ONE one-hour tour recap show. That's right, one one-hour show, 60-minutes commercially interrupted highlight reel to cover nearly three weeks of stage racing.

I'm speaking to the choir here, and there are plenty enough posts about our dismay at OLN's plans. So, in hopes of expanding this campaign beyond the cycling fans who frequent this board, I encourage all of you to email your friends, associates and fellow race fans and ask thim to sign this petition.

Also, if you host a web page, or have a friend who has a web page, ask them if they would agree to post a link to this petition.

Time is running out, the Vuelta starts on September 4th, 2004. We have to convince OLN as soon as possible to reinstate their plans for a full plate of daily broadcasts of each stage on par with Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France.
