yep, I had my shop build me a DT Swiss RR 1.1 rim w/28 CX-Ray 2x/ alloy nips on the PT SL at the beginning of November. No need to slot the holes - which would void the warranty anyway. I've put 3300 miles on it (including some rollers/ trainer time.) So far it's been a great build, probably right around 1000 gms, plenty stiff for my 145 lbs, never feel like it's a handicap in the few races I've done so far this year. I ride and race on poor NorCal farm roads and it's held up very well.
I did manage to break one non-drive spoke during a sprint. At the time, my freehub was a bit loose, don't know if that played a role. The CX-Rays were a bit of a b*tch to get. Actually the ones for the PT SL wheel were no problem, got 'em in a week, but it took 2.5 months to get the ones for the matching front wheel delivered. They're also very expensive. However, they look sharp, they're very light, and take a very high tension. Would I use them again? Meh, probably. But DT Aerolites are supposed to pretty nice as well, just not as bling. 😄
