  1. Well, last wee was a little better on the exercise front...

Monday: My nice walk to school and back! Yippee! Tuesday: Well, this was a bit different! Took the
afternoon out and went to IKEA to buy a bed for my son, so althrough I didn't do my brisk outdoor
walk, Little Sis and I walked for miles round the store, heaved bed and other bits onto trolleys,
and into her Land Rover, and then out again later! We also made the security men at the store
collapse in heaps of helpless giggles! We both FELT like we'd exercised quite hard! Does furniture
removal and laughter count? Wednesday: My nice walk to school and back! Yippee! Thursday: My nice
walk to school and back! Yippee! Friday: My nice walk to school and back! Yippee! Plus a little
extra half mile brisk walk from the dentist into town! Saturday: Nope! The son & heir to the fambly
debts, aged 9, had us up all night being ill - mild food poisoning! He was ikk about 7 times, had me
up about nine times! I went back to bed for my exercise that afternoon! Sunday: no, not really... We
did got out shopping for a little food and some DIY stuff, so I got a breath of fresh air, but no
    real exercise.

I sure hope so Kate, that was my official form of exercise yesterday! Setting up the new treadmill
(pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying) with hubby ... I also was the designated runner (I
volunteered) and probably made 20 trips up and down the basement stairs while searching for all
the dang tools necessary. Then came hauling the old treadmill UPstairs and out to the garbage.
That was the afternoon. Evening was another 10+ trips up and down the basement stairs, hauling up
the Christmas dishes (all by myself this year!). I was totally wiped out when my rear end finally
    hit a chair.

Today was hanging curtains, getting some of the household decorations up (tomorrow will be sifting
through the attic) and setting up the tree. Ok, tree isn't really an effort. Last year I got fed up
having to do it all alone, so went out and bought one of the new, fancy 1 piece prelit artificial
trees. Carry it up from the basement, plug it in, tree is done. <grin> I did squeeze 20 minutes in
on the treadmill today also, was all I could do to keep up with it - so quit early. <sigh>

Oh, yes, he's fine - but I fell alseep at 9 am finally, had nightmares about tape measures, and only
woke up at eleven when the doorbell rang! There was the bride and her bridesmaid, waiting to be
    measured! AAAARRRRGGGHHH!

Luckily, this bride is a sensible lass, and while not yet a mother, is an infant school teacher, so
knows what kids are like! They were all very sympathetic. James is now, quite naturally, fine!
