Most truck drivers don't understand me working on my fitness, as they almost
hit me, working on their fatness.

Funny you should mention that, but almost every time I've been buzzed
or ignored by a driver while on two wheels here in SoCal, it's been a
morbidly obese scumbag in either a truck or an suv.

I have a regular brush with a roided-out looking dude in a big lifted
pickup with a Semper Fi sticker in the back window. He must live near
Hartman's and whenever I go out there in the evening, he'll drive by
hugging the white line and rev his big loud (small-penis-compensating)
    truck as he goes by.
I'm always impressed and jealous I'm only on a bike instead of a big,
loud, tough truck like he is.

Yeah, the angry 'roidheads (both ster- and hemor- types) are a problem
everywhere, especially in a compensator truck with a Flowmaster
    exhaust.

I was on the Oregon coast in mid-June. The friggin' middle of summer,
and we needed sweatshirts. But I've put on my schedule before death to
learn to ride in the rain and take the bike up there.

Not quite what "a day at the beach" conjures up? ;-)

Actually it rains very little in the summer. Just get a little farther
    from the coast next time!

When I first started riding the dark side, I was surprised not only by how
dangerously rude drivers could be, but also by what a temper I discovered
*I* had when my life was threatened by these a$$es. You guys who know me
know there's not many folks more easy goin than the ole Paladin. boy was I
in for a surprise... Early on, when a guy honked as I crossed in front of
him at a light, it startled me, and I hustled to the side of the road, threw
the bike down, grabbed a 2x4 and went running at him as he was pulling away.
    Now where'd that come from??!

    CDB
musta flunked anger management and didn't even know it...
