Im curious to know, are cyclists who dont wear full face masks and balaclavas in freezing temperatures essentially asking to be frostbitten, or are there some other methods of protecting the skin that dont involve covering every inch of their face.
Is it just a matter of personal preference, or are some cyclists genuinely unaware of the risks associated with frostbite, and if so, whats the most effective way to educate them without coming across as condescending or elitist.
Do experienced cyclists have a responsibility to speak up when they see someone whos clearly not taking the necessary precautions, or should they just mind their own business and hope the other person doesnt end up with permanent damage.
Are there any products or gear on the market that can provide adequate protection against frostbite without being too bulky or restrictive, or is this just a myth perpetuated by manufacturers looking to make a quick buck.
Is it really worth the risk to ride in extremely cold temperatures without proper protection, and if so, whats the threshold for when its just not worth it anymore.
