  1. be out of garlic?!?!?!?

I always have about 3 heads in the produce bowl.

    Where'd it all go?

How can I possibly make spinach and mushroom calzones with no garlic???

I can't stoop to using garlic powder. No way, never. But I don't even
have a single clove. I used 3 cloves the other day for popcorn butter,
finishing a head, but thgere's always another one. always. i buy the a
few at a time. i use garlic a lot.

    <sigh>

    this is terrible.

if i go to the store for just garlic, i'll end up seeing 3 other things
that i want (ice cream, swiss cheese, a new kind of olives at the
antipasto bar), find a couple things thatare on the dollar sale so i
might as well get a few, and then i'll remember that i ran out of soy
sauce and rice wine vinegar earlier in the week. i'll spend money, no
way i'll just get one stinkin' head of garlic.

since i drove up to trader joe's and spent almost $200 stocking up, i
    can't do that.

how did i POSSIBLY run out of garlic?!?!?!

    ..............................rackin, frackin, nitter, gritter, grumble,
    grouse............................

    from it). :~)

Put only ONLY a $5.00 bill in your wallet and leave the credit cards and
    check book at home. ;-)

That is how I manage to resist impulse/browsing purchases!

$5.00 should get you plenty of garlic...

And don't forget it next time you are stocking up! <lol>

Take Zantac prior to eating it. <G>
    That's what I do........

The generic (Ranitidine) is affordable, especially at Wal-mart.

    I cheat... <lol>
There are a few foods that I love that I know will give me heartburn. ;-)

I take two generic Zantacs (Ranitidine) about 1/2 hour or so before
eating them, or I may take them when I DO get heartburn. Goes away in
    about 1 hour.

Takes care of the problem for me.......

Tomatoes, garlic, tequila, onions, a few others.

I buy the bottles of 100 and keep them in my purse.

    Jude,

The devil isn't opposed to garlic. In fact he probably loves roasted
garlic. You can unstring the garlic cloves from the necklace you're
    wearing?

I only like to buy a couple week's worth at a time. I HATE it when my
garlic goes green and begins to sprout. I'd rather buy it fresh and
    often.

Ophelia -- I started taking it, too, since Om told me about it.
The 75 mg doesn't do it for me -- I tried taking 150 in the am and 75 mg in
the evening and vice versa, but I just have tohave the 150 twice a day.
    How about your dosage?

It takes two for me also, usually twice per day.

If I'm having a really bad attack, I'll take 3, but that's rare.

I'm thinking about it now, taking my second one of the day -- first one was
11 a.m., so I don't want to space them too close together.
Just had the Dona Maria mole mit chicken; rice, cole slaw, left-over
cauliflower with bechamel sauce, and a beer (non-alcholic); dessert
left-over apple crisp -- I'll be needing it - never know whether to space it
too close or wait until I get a hint of it!
