Yeah, but the American teams have won the World Series every year since it's
inception, correct?...Obviously they're still the dominant force on the
world scene... 😉

Yeah, but the American teams have won the World Series every year since it's
inception, correct?...Obviously they're still the dominant force on the
world scene... 😉

Many of the best players were not playing for the States. Many of the
MLB players were playing for other countries. And, they were not in
practice yet.

How can Bonds, Jetter, and the like not be playing?

I was kidding..but still....

...and I think Jeter was on the USA Team...

He was supposed to.

The team should have been practicing a month earlier. They were under a
lot of pressure from the owners not to play. It was no where the US's
best team. MLB owners did not support this.

Bonds remains the most awesome player, regardless of the controversy. He
shows up and his two home runs in his first 10 at bats. He has to be
there. The roster could have held far more players, so they were short
on people to replace players who were injured. Simply put, it was not
the best the US could do, in terms of players, preparations, attitude or
support.
