How does the Michael Phelps XCEED goggle perform?

  1. I have to ask, whats the logic behind comparing the performance of swimming goggles like the Michael Phelps XCEED to a cyclists performance metrics. I mean, arent these goggles designed to withstand water pressure and reduce drag in the water, not provide a direct benefit to a cyclists power output or endurance. It seems to me that theres a huge disconnect between the two.

    Ive seen some claims that certain goggles can improve a swimmers efficiency by reducing drag and increasing visibility underwater, but how does that translate to a cyclists needs. Ive also seen some swimmers using goggles with advanced features like mirrored lenses and anti-fog coatings, but again, how does that apply to a cyclists needs.

    If were talking about the XCEED goggles comfort and fit, I can see how that might be relevant to a cyclists comfort and fit, but arent there other, more relevant factors to consider when choosing gear for a specific sport. I mean, wouldnt a cyclists comfort and fit be more dependent on their bike seat and handlebars than their goggles.

    Im not trying to be confrontational, I just genuinely dont understand the connection between the XCEED goggles performance and a cyclists needs. Can someone please explain to me how these goggles are supposed to improve a cyclists performance.
