How many hours do Xenon headlamp bulbs last?

Anybody have real-world experience, and can shed a light (bad pun) on
this question? Will an incandescant Xenon bulb really last 10,000
hours in bike headlights?

I doubt you'll ever find anyone with 10,000 hours on the same bulb; not
many people have amassed that many lifetime hours on a bike.

If used in a stationary applicaion with a controlled temperature and a
continuous feed of the correct voltage, quite possibly. In the real
world, with shaocks, vibration, and variable temp, probably not.

Mine have outlasted many sets of batteries, so I can't gripe about
their durability, but I will never use them enough to put 10K hours of
field use on them.
