I have three Unicycles now, but I think I will just use my new Kris Holm
XC 24". I have a 26" Pashley Muni, and a basic 20" that I started
with.

Now that I have my Kris Holm, I don't think I will go back to the
Pashley. The only way I would use it now would be with shorter cranks,
and a slick road tyre.

Thirty-something. Most of these are ridden 0% of the time, and they are
more like a collection.

The ones that get ridden most are:
Coker - for riding to work and occasional other rides
Wilder MUni - for the trails
GB4 29er - Light & fast MUni or 700c racing
BC wheel - Occasional practicing (I want a newer one!)

Every once in a while I do shows, which may include some of the above,
and will also usually have:
Wyganowski 20" Freestyle - Freestyle
Unicycle Factory 12" - Tiny uni
Unicycle Factory 45" - Big wheel
20" Handlebar uni - handlebars
Homemade 24" Ultimate - I suck on it
Schwinn Giraffe - giraffe
Bauer Artistic Bicycle - yes, it has 2 wheels

Missing from my collection:
- A useful Trials uni (mine is under-strength and dead)
- 2 (or more) wheel stack unicycle

At one point at my peak, I owned 8 wheels...

1) 20" learner - snapped right crank, so used for left-foot 1ft and
wheelwalk only 🙂

2) 20" DM Ringmaster Pro - about 80% of all riding, freestyle.

3) 16" DM - For novelty. Fun to wheelwalk.

4) 26" Pashley Muni (Old Style) - was used for muni, but too heavy.

5) 26" Pashley Muni (New Style) - Muni. 10% of riding.

6) 5' DM Giraffe - Rare use, but good for parades, street work.

7) 24" DM Ultimate wheel - Fun but tiring.

8) 20" BC wheel - never got the hang of it.

Now I'm back down to 2 wheels (20" DM Ringmaster pro and 24" Ultimate
Wheel). I'm seriously considering getting one of the new generation Munis
though - as soon as my bank balance allows.

I currently have at my house courtesy of Petit_Pierre and his broken
kidneys (He's been in hospital for most of the last fortnight. Out again

I have a 24" Torker CX and a 24" Nimbus II freestyle. I ride the Nimbus
100% of the time, since the Torker is tacoed. I plan to expand my
collection when I have the funds.

A home made (but good) 24" ultimate wheel that I cannot ride

A Hunter 36" frame and waiting for a Stockton superwheel
More to come. I want to give one of my nephews or nieces or grand
nephews or nieces their biggest present when I die. They might even
fight over them when I am gone

I collect all sorts of [censored] including but not only didgeredoos, antique
spanners, I have a living collection of trees (no bull), skating skis,
kayaks etc. It sure help to be obcessive

it day and the sesons.

Often I will take three unis into the bush in my car and ride all three
for say halk an hour each. They always feel wierd when you change.

I've got 2, and a 3rd is almost completed (its a custom build)

In order of aqusition:

Nov 2003
24" Onza Muni - Used for muni (duh) and forest trails, Its been down Mt
Snowdon 3 times & the only repair has been to the keyway in the hub. Its
got a Magura HS33 Rim Brake Fitted aftermarket.

Summer 2004
20" Onza Trials - Used for urban trials and some freestyle tricks
(street). Its the closest i've got to a learner uni, I think I'll need a
simpler ebay-purchase one to try & teach others on.

May - June 2005
Custom GB4 LM/Endo 26". For serious off-road & extreme trails. Also soft
ground, snow & sand riding. Tyre size (3.7"😉 means possibility of using
as a commuter.

And thats the lot. I might get a giraffe eventually, but I think my next
(over the next couple of years) purchase will be a top of the range
coker.

What you need really depends on what you like to do. It's all good! I
can't imagine that most people spend an appreciable amount of time on
giraffes, but I suppose some do. MUni and distance riders spend a lot
of time there, almost by definition.

Here's what I have - and almost have - and how much time I spend on
each.

-24" KH MUni - this is what I ride 80% of the time

-20"/24" Miyata (I have two wheels for it) - I ride it about 5% of the
time. I expect that to increase some.

-28" Sun - I ride this about 15%, until I the Coker is delivered

-6' Savage giraffe - brand new - almost never ride it because my
confidence needs to grow

-20" Schwinn (Daughter - 100%)

-16" Torker (Son - 100%)

-36" Coker with Hunter Frame/Stockton wheel - ordered and awaiting
delivery - I expect to ride it alot after it arrives

-24" Schwinn - never

-24" Schwinn - never; it's very old and not functional. (I keep it
because I used it as a kid.)
