  1. Is it really that difficult for Zwift to implement a more user-friendly custom workout creator, or are they intentionally making it complicated to force people into using their pre-designed workouts? Ive seen numerous complaints about the lack of flexibility in the current system, and yet nothing seems to be changing.

Ive tried to create a custom workout using the Zwift Companion app, but the process is so clunky and unintuitive that Ive almost given up. Ive had to manually input each interval, which is a huge pain, especially when trying to create a complex workout with multiple intervals and varying intensities.

Whats even more frustrating is that there are third-party apps and websites that can create custom workouts for Zwift, but they often require a subscription or a one-time payment. It seems like Zwift is missing out on an opportunity to provide a better user experience and instead is pushing users towards third-party solutions.

Can anyone explain why Zwifts custom workout creator is so limited, and are there any plans to improve it in the future? Is it really too much to ask for a more user-friendly interface that allows for easy creation of custom workouts?

  2. Ah, the age-old question: is Zwift intentionally making their custom workout creator difficult to use, or are they just oblivious to the struggles of us mortals? 🤔

In all seriousness though, it's baffling that such a popular platform hasn't prioritized a more user-friendly custom workout creator. The current system feels like a relic from the past, and the fact that third-party apps have stepped in to fill the gap is a testament to that.

Now, I'm not saying Zwift is deliberately trying to frustrate their users (although, it does make you wonder 💭), but it seems like they might be missing the mark when it comes to understanding the needs of their community.

As for why the custom workout creator is so limited, your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps they're stretched thin with other features, or maybe they're prioritizing other areas of the platform. Who knows?

But, if I were a betting gal, I'd wager that we'll see some improvements in the future. After all, Zwift has proven to be responsive to user feedback in the past, so here's hoping they'll come through for us this time around too. 🤞

  3. Sure, I have some thoughts on this. Zwift's custom workout creator may be limited due to a few reasons. For one, they might be prioritizing other features or simply haven't gotten around to improving it yet. It's also possible that they want to keep things simple and straightforward for the average user.

However, I do agree that a more user-friendly interface for creating custom workouts would be beneficial. It could open up more possibilities for Zwifters to tailor their training to their specific needs and goals. And as you mentioned, it seems counterintuitive for Zwift to push users towards third-party solutions when they could provide this feature themselves.

In the end, it's up to Zwift to decide whether or not to improve their custom workout creator. But as users, we can continue to provide feedback and hope that they take it into consideration. So, what do you all think? Is a more user-friendly custom workout creator a necessity or a luxury? 🤔

  4. The Zwift custom workout creator conundrum. It's indeed puzzling that Zwift hasn't simplified the process, especially considering the outcry from users. The current system does seem to prioritize their pre-designed workouts, which might not cater to everyone's needs.

Inputting each interval manually is a tedious task, especially when dealing with complex workouts. Perhaps Zwift could take a cue from other platforms that offer more user-friendly custom workout creators. It would be beneficial to have a more streamlined process, allowing users to focus on their training rather than wrestling with the interface.

  5. Sure, let's address this. The issue isn't Zwift being complicated, it's users expecting everything to be effortless. Creating custom workouts can be complex, involving multiple intervals and intensities. It's not surprising that a free feature might require more effort. As for third-party apps, they're a natural response to niche needs. It's unrealistic to expect one platform to cater to every user's desires.

  6. It's worth considering that developing a user-friendly custom workout creator might be more complex than it seems. Zwift is a sophisticated platform, and creating an intuitive interface for custom workouts could require a significant amount of resources and time. That being said, the current system's limitations are undoubtedly frustrating for many users.

The fact that third-party apps and websites seem to offer better solutions highlights a missed opportunity for Zwift. By improving their custom workout creator, Zwift could enhance user experience, reduce churn, and potentially attract new users. It's also worth noting that relying on third-party solutions can be inconvenient and may deter some users from creating custom workouts altogether.

Furthermore, a more user-friendly custom workout creator could help Zwift tap into the potential of self-coached athletes who rely on custom workouts to improve their performance. By making it easier for these athletes to create and implement custom workouts, Zwift could establish itself as a more comprehensive training platform.

In conclusion, while I understand the constraints that may prevent Zwift from improving their custom workout creator, doing so could have significant benefits for both the company and its users. It would be great to see Zwift prioritize this feature and provide a more user-friendly and intuitive solution for creating custom workouts.

  7. Pfft, a custom workout creator, huh? You'd think it's as simple as spinning a wheel or two. But nooo, Zwift's gotta make it all complicated and stuff. I mean, come on, they're not exactly newbies in the game. You'd think they'd know better by now.

And what's the deal with relying on third-party apps? It's like, hello, Zwift, you're a pro cycling platform! Step it up a notch! It's not just about user experience; it's about being the best darn platform out there!

But hey, maybe they're just too busy showing off their fancy graphics and whatnot. Priorities, right? *eyeroll*

But here's the thing: self-coached athletes need love too! They're out there, grinding away on their bikes, wanting to make custom workouts. If Zwift made it easier for them, they'd have a whole army of dedicated cyclists on their side!

So yeah, I get that there might be constraints and all, but seriously, Zwift, don't miss out on this golden opportunity. Make it happen!

  8. Zwift's workout creator is a mess. Why can't they just streamline it? It's like they want us to suffer through clunky interfaces. Are they really that out of touch with what cyclists need?
