  1. Hi, All:

I had posted a few times last year wondering how I could lose ten
pounds in a day merely bike-riding despite a Burger King diet. Now I
    know!

    Brain activity!

    LOL -- but why not?

I was reading about how the brain constitutes ~2% of body weight but
uses ~20% of the available energy -- !!

And I can lose ten pounds a week simply by eating only two meals every
other day. So far, musculature hasn't been affected, as determined by
the number of push-ups, etc., I can do in one set (not consequtively).

But now I'm feeling that having an active mind might be the key here!

I'm always reading or writing or playing piano or chess or drawing when
I can't bike, kayak, jog (haven't for a year now due to a herniated
vertebra -- waiting on the doc to inject some steroid in there soon),
    etc.

Maybe that's what's keeping my metabolism up!

'Cause I can gain weight just as easily, too, like when I have those
rare days when I watch DVDs one after the other ("Jewel in the Crown,"
"I, Claudius," "House of Card," "The Apprentice"😉.

It's cute to watch you troll each OTHER. But as a duly recognized or
appointed (kindasorta) and, what's that statement? Of course, as a
KNOWN MFW TROLL, I would be remiss if I didn't troll a little as well.
    To wit:

XYZ mentioned brain activity and you, TBR, follow-up by, basically,
calling him dumb, right? But you misspelled (that's misPelled for the
    morons) the word definitely.

    heh

    Brain activity, TBR? Okay.

Ennyweigh, eye kno, speeling flamz iz dumd.

Maybe he meant "brain lobotomy"? How much do the frontal lobes weigh
    anyway?

I don't know, mine are empty. Those huge scars in that area do
    concern me though...

I dunno why you think that; this guy's lamer than a gaylord's limp
    wrist.

The Broken Record for sure, he is.

No need to be concerned. Cut your hair into bangs, which are often
attractive in their own right. Failing that, a stylish hat could do
    wonders. Problem solved!

    Report: Inmate Loses Weight, Escapes
    Jan 18, 2006, 11:54 AM (ET)

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - A prison inmate in Australia lost a dramatic
amount of weight, squeezed through a gap in the wall and escaped, a
    newspaper reported.

Robert Cole, 35, was serving time for sex offenses and armed robbery in
a prison hospital in New South Wales state when officials noticed he
was missing early Wednesday, The Sydney Morning Herald reported in its
    online edition.

Cole, who had recently undergone a dramatic weight loss, slipped his
123-pound body through a gap between the bars on a cell window and a
brick wall at which he'd been chipping away, the paper quoted an
unidentified Corrective Services spokeswoman as saying.

"Because he's lost a lot of weight, he's a very narrow person, so he
squeezed his way through the gap in the brick wall," she was quoted as
    saying.

Cole avoided the motion detectors and video cameras that monitor the
prison grounds at night, then climbed a fence and escaped, the
    newspaper said.

It was not immediately clear how long Cole's sentence was, or how much
    time he had already served.

Calls to the New South Wales Corrective Services Division seeking
confirmation were not immediately returned Wednesday.
