Input on road-racing bike

Hi,

I currently own a Giant OCR 3 and am now looking into buying a new bike more suitable for road races. I would like to spend around 1200-1500 since I am a beginner to racing. Any tips on bikes that anybody has raced on or currently has in that price range?
