Deadly driver jailed after alien delusions

A man has been sentenced to 14 years' jail for killing a motorist while deliberately driving a stolen truck at oncoming traffic on Victoria's Western Highway near Ballarat.
Roderick Nigel Martin, 36, was found guilty of the manslaughter of 66-year-old Raymond Turner near the Ballarat Ring Road two years ago.
The Victorian Supreme Court heard Martin was having delusions about aliens taking over human bodies and nearly hit six other cars before driving into Mr Turner's vehicle.
The court heard police had just called off a chase because of his dangerous driving.
Martin has been ordered to serve at least 10 years of the sentence.
