  1. My wife and I will be going to the Isle of Mull in a few weeks time, so I
was wondering if anyone could recommend some good mountain walks?

The obvious summit to do is Ben More, but are there any others worth doing?
We don't particularly like doing scree slopes, nor too much scrambling and
    definitely no climbing.

Apart from mountain walks, what are the best coastal and/or forest walks?

    Many thanks in anticipation,

    RW.

There's a couple of small guides (first two listed here
http://www.brown-whittaker.co.uk/catalogue.html ) that you can pick up on
the island, you won't go wrong with them.

As you say, the obvious ones are in the the south. Beinn Na Dreiss is an
    excellent
walk, however, as is Quinish Point and Ulva to Gometra.

First week in June for us. Can't wait. I love the place.

  4. Lochbuie to Carsaig on the south coast is worth a go. Problems with
transport either end, I did it on a long walk, but its short enough to
return. or start from " the main road" in Glen More and folow the
lochs down to Lochbuie. Great gabbro scenery before you get to the
    sea.

I've been recommended Beinn Talaidh. Great views, 761m. Barely 1.5 miles
from the road and climb of 2000ft.

It was in cloud every day I was there last year, so I never got up :-(

Treshnish headland is worth a walk.....spectacular scenary.

I can recommend Inter-Island cruises for fabulous boat trips/whale
watching....Jeremy knows his stuff and will gear a trip to your wishes. Been
out 3/4 times & always had unbelievably good days.

Seconded. Nice chap too. A few other points. Jeremy wont take you out if
he thinks the chances of seeing anything are slim, unlike the Hebridean
    Wildlife
people who just want your money. He sails out of Croig, straight into the
    sound
of Ardnamurchan where the whales are. HW sail out of Tobermory so you
spend at least an hour of your journey trundling through the channel where
    the
chances of seeing whales is quite slim. Jeremy often lands on Muck for
    lunch.
HW is just out and back.

A longer approach to the north of the hill gives access to a gully
full of waterfalls which is scrambleable. It has bits of DC3 in it,
which narrowly avoided missing the summit during WWII.

One of the best moments of my hillgoing life was finding out the next
    day that there were survivors.
