Yes, Campy Record carbon would be prettier. Next bike... next bike.

Ride the bike. Don't wait. Unless you are a poseur.

  5. It's 21 degrees and salty roads today. Welcome to Michigan. The hybrid with
the mustasche bars is for the winter.

The little red valve caps are a nice touch.

Lemond just issued a recall on that model.

    {pause}

    JUST KIDDING!

Very, very pretty bike; go get it dirty.

Hi, very nice, I can see why you would be pleased. How about some
details on the frame, what did it start out as? I don't remember that
paint scheme, so am I correct that it has been repainted?

I don't have a place to post a picture, but I redid my 2002 LeMond
Tourmalet, about a year ago. I went with Dura-Ace triple, with Easton
CF bars and seatpost. For wheels, I had Peter at Vecchio's build me a
set using the DA hubs and Velocity Aerohead rims.

I don't blame you for not wanting to ride it in bad conditions. I
wouldn't ride mine when there is snow on the ground.

And I don't think wanting to keep a nice bike out of bad conditions
indicates "you are a poseur". Some of us actually take pride in some
of our bikes and try to avoid bad weather. The Op never said it was
his only bike, just his new bike. Horses for course, most of us have
    more than one bike.

This frame is a 2004 Maillot Jaune "custom" (in Trek-speak "Project 1"😉. You
pick the colors, etc but not the geometry.
