In other countries, I wait till I am there, go into the *best* bookshop in
a town centre and get the best they have.

We go first and plan when we are there. Makes for a more interesting trip.

Was aware of the ones which are available for the hill country to the
NE, but wanted some in Tuscany. I will probably do as suggested: buy
when there. I usually like to order high scale maps to sus out the area
where we are staying beforehand.
