I always enjoy reading the group. I don't post often as I'm
not an everyday walker. I get most of my exercise through
biking and weight training. -
This is my first attempt at posting a message.
I also enjoy walking but over the winter months I have been
making excuses. Now that the Spring is here I am attempting
to get off the couch and walk for at least 30 minutes a
night as I am told that this type of exercise is just as
good as any. -

to walk in the winter - dark too early, too cold, too icy,
etc. I finally bought a treadmill and love it. Now I have no
excuse for not walking in the winter months<g -
Like you I am just beginning to learn about posting
messages. I ahve been told that walking is one of the best
forms of excercise. Is walking at a steady pace better than
not quite "power walking". I like to walk fairly quickly but
find that as the lighter nights and better weather come
along, I tend to slow my pace down.My friends are undertaking a sponosored walk around
Bellahouston Park and have said that it can be done in an
hour and a half, would anyone know if this is the case."
