Yes it was and so what if my sig other spelled it wrong? Yank is not
the best with names or spelling. Since HE received the email and not
me, I asked him to post the news here, as Steph did not.Yank spent many hours at night chatting with Ken on Yahoo Messenger
abut everything from food and politics and climate and dogs to
traveling around Central America. They were planning a trip out to the
islands. Ken,Steph, and Yank spent time together hanging out in
LaCeiba,Honduras this spring when the island trip was scrubbed due to
weather. I can post Steph's original email to him if that would make
you all feel better. God forbid you think he is lying because the name
was spelled wrong. So much for passing the word to Ken's friends in RFC. I regret now
that I asked him to post since people have to be such pissants and
nitpickers about things.S. Dunlap

I appreciated the post. Ken was a supporter to me during my scary cancer
ordeal. So far, I remain cancer-free. I'm really sad that Ken passed.
Please give your husband thanks from me for posting the message.kili

elaineI didn't take it as nitpicking. When I saw the post about the
discrepancy in names, for a moment I hoped that the sad news had been
posted by mistake. Isn't it possible that the poster who upset you, had
the same thought as I? -

information. We... *I* couldn't find his posts until sw came up with
the correct spelling, then I found a gazillion of them.I really do think a memorial page to regular posters in rfc who have
passed on is in order.... with or w/o pictures. Please email me at my return address, we haven't talked in ages!

I think Cathy already started one on the website. Take a look. 😉Christine

If you it's out of line to gently point out the obvious
misspelling by someone who has never posted to RFC - let alone
Usenet, on such a trollish group ....OK. Maybe I got a little carried away. I was just gently
putting up a flag when I posted the first time. It wouldn't be
the first time somebody had claimed somebody had died that
didn't.Thank you for the confirmation.

You're right.... I hadn't noticed, my bad! Glad to see Moosemeat is
mentioned. I hope someone knows someone (curly sue, tammy) knows who
might be willing to send us a picture of him.--
