I am considering having a walking holiday, but not sure about camping
TBH.
Google is full of booking sites, so a personal recommendation would be
nice.
Also I have only found a couple that offer WIFI Internet.. has any one
stayed at one offering this ?
I'm after a f 'home from home' experience I think :-)
I have used Keswick Cottages for a few years, stayed in most of them, and I
cannot fault them. See http://www.legend.yorks.com/~keswick/
Many have open fires for that comfy night on cooler evenings, all are
furnished to a high standard ..... but not the cheapest!
Now, as the name implies, all their cottages are in Keswick or close to
Keswick. We tend to stay in Braithwaite village along the A66 from Keswick.
Quite a few there, plus the Coledale Inn is great for beer and food. Plenty
of walking from the doorstep too.
Not been in any with WIFI though ... and not been lucky enough to get an
'open' network either.
Staying with them for 2 weeks in Sep (Keswick) and 1 week in November
(Portinscale) .... planning the walks already!
