  1. Floyd Landis Nightline Interview - ABC News

  2. bump. preview in the link posted. i watched some of it, thirty seconds, that was just aired on the evening news and it looks to be a good one. Lance has hired a criminal attorney.

  3. show begins in 5 minutes central time, folks. place yer bets...

  4. well how did the interview go?

  5. to quote Lionel Hutz:

theres the truth..., and the truth!!!!!

  6. I read in the Spanish media that Floyd said the he saw Lance Armstrong doping himself more than once, and that Lance provided him with Testosterone patches.

in a nutshell, Lance is phucked. not a doubt in my mind any longer. Landis did not waiver once, spoke directly and with precision, saying yes, he first got testosterone patches from Lance himself but that even though patches were illegal they were not 'a big deal' to take, that Johan oversaw all trasfusions, that the Postal team bus had pulled over in '04 and all the riders got transfusions, the when's and the where's and he apologized for his previous lies, saying "once a man takes the wrong path, how long is he supposed to stay on it." or something long the lines, meaning that he was very wrong for lying.

interviewer told Landis "Lance says you have zero credibility." to which he instantly replied, "You just said I have zero credibilty." and then said the above, adding " I will will feel better once i'm done speaking with you."

Landis apologized to the public into the camera for his bit , his lies, his lies in his book, taking part in doping overall and said he is not scared to face whatever he has to face.

Lance's attorney is the kind of guy you just love to hate too, moreso than Landis which i'm beginning to like.

phuck. only a technicality , to myself, would get Lance off now.

  8. Franky Andreu's, former Team Postal rider who was subpoenaed in a court of law to testify against Lance some years ago, wife and also ex friend of Armstrong was also interviewed, saying that she was "first introduced to the world of doping" by Lance when Lance was in that hospital bed with cancer, answering his doctor who asked him if he had ever used any performance enhancing drugs. he said yes, testosterone, epo, whatever else.

Lance's attorney said she might be making this up but Franky was not to ever ride again as supposedly taking on lance was your own demise, even if it was by law. They did not willingly come out and testify, they had to and still no one picked up her husband for a team position after that.

i don't know, seeing Landis ( the wife of Andreu might not really be accountible in my eyes as her words could be heresay and a form of revenge might be on her mind to get back for her husband not racing again), on camera, so , well, truthful, was shocking, like a slap in the face by a bus.

Landis has no credibility. I find it very suspect that Landis just popped his head out of obscurity a month or two before Lance made a return to ride another Tour de France.

Is Lance using drugs? Was Lance using drugs? In the end, the truth will more than likely rear its ugly head, but I can't blame Lance in the least for hiring a criminal attorney, as I would do the same thing.

I personally believe Lance is innocent, but even if he is, there's always that chance of being guilty by public opinion. I mean, look what happened to Michael Jackson. Nobody knows what went on with that guy, but as far as the majority of the public was concerned, he was flat-out guilty. Even if it turned out at the end that he was innocent, his reputation would have never been restored.

  10. when he was asked, "Is Lance a liar?", he said yes. Then he was asked, "Is lance a cheater?" to which he replied, "That depends on what you consider a cheater." adding that everyone doped so if not Lance the next guy would have won which would have been anyone in the peleton as everyone doped.

a ex- nurse for Team Postal, interviewed or at least asked on camera a few questions moreso than interviewed, said that she was basically a drug runner, being handed by someone ( i want to say bruykneel) a bag of used syringes and was told to get rid of them although she never saw Lance or anyone actually take drugs.

it's beyond credibility now, way beyond as the federal investigator is the only one who can determine who has it and who doesn't any longer. Lance said he had zero credibility as did the interviewer but that's not stopping him. like i've said in another thread, there was a statue of limitations on when this would not be allowed in a court of law so it was a now or never to come out as far as Landis is concerned.

I want to believe Lance is innocent too, very much, as the news reel also stated that out of over 300 tests of Lance, him being the most tested athlete ever, not one single positive was had but i can't just deny what i heard and saw. and i'm surprised that he doesn't have a team of attorneys, it would seem that he is gonna need it.

  12. uci would not respond or talk to the news about Lance's personal $25,000 out of pocket donation and then the $100,000 donation.

they were implicated as a main source of the problem and 'in on it' so to speak by the wife of Andreu, saying they look the other way because of that but again, heresay.

nothing out of the ordinary or what has not already been made public was said by Landis or heard by myself but it seemed right, all that he said, believable and honest. i guess we'll see.

Lance's attorney seems like an asshat, born and raised an asshat.

he stated that as well. Landis was asked if he ever personally witnessed Lance receiving transfuions or using drugs (and was asked to say which drugs) and he answered yes to both questions, saying Lance had numerous transfusions and used epo many times, all of which he witnessed as he had used them at the same times.

hidden hotel rooms and the likes with doctors always there. said the transfusions were over in no more than twenty minutes, the riders themselves or someone else holding the bags up and the blood being gravity fed back into their bodies.

the bikes being sold were spoke of too, for money for drugs. it's all out on the table now.

Ever seen an attorney in action that wasn't an asshat? He's being paid to be an asshat.

I'm pulling for Lance, and I hope he's clean. If not, his reputation is going to be worse than Landis's. Landis's reputation couldn't get any worse. He's already known around the world as the Jose Canseco of cycling.

Lance has everything to lose, and Landis has nothing to gain. At best, Landis will be known as the man who brought down Lance Armstrong. Nobody's going to toot his horn for "busting" Lance. Figure it this way; Landis is in a prestigious group all unto his own; Tonya Harding, Jose Canseco, OJ Simpson, Todd Bertuzzi, Michael Vick, Pete Rose, and Barry Bonds.

  15. i can't seem to find the full interview, guess it's not posted yet but here is some dialogue of it, word for word and gives you some insight. you have to scroll down.

Did Lance Cheat? - ABC News

  17. lets see ,198 guys usually start a pro race. 197 have been caught on drugs these last few years.... so , just cause lance didnt get caught, does everyone still think he rode clean? hahahahaha....unreal!!!
all pro riders cheat. they all get caught eventually. the ones that didnt get caught are lucky, and have great pharmacists, keeping that masking agent close by at all times..
gotta have your head in the sand if you actually think lance and other pros that didnt get caught, are actually clean..you dont win the tour on good looks and a secret recipe....
show some balls lance and admit you are like the other 197..
i just hope this trial or investigation starts asap, the dudes work overtime getting time and a half pay and get the results asap..
then lance will be holding a press confrence crying... blah blah blah..
    dudes are all cheaters.
my idols are my cat 2 teammates. seems like everyone above this level cheats.. even local cat 1's in the states are getting caught. lol!!!

  18. I'm a long-time Armstrong fan, however I also think with performance enhancing going on by a such a large segment of top competitors that it would be unrealistic to think one could dominate a sport for 7 years straight completely clean.

It will be interesting to follow these proceedings.

  19. leanman, if ALL of them were doping and Lance still dominated for seven years, that does make him the better, more dedicated, more balls having of them all, would it not? i mean, his epo wasn't stronger than the other's out there, was it? it wasn't magic comparatively, right? he still had to do the work and put in the training, right?

like Eddie in his day, he still was the best cyclist out there, outside of the public image.

    is that a safe assumption?

i'm still having a hard time believing that he was dirty. i mean, how about all of those over 300 tests, especially the surprise ones such as the ones taken at his home, all of which came back negative for performance enhancing drugs?

one defense i might offer ( and his defense attorney might want to consider) is his one third larger than the normal size human heart being able to pump therefore keeping clean larger amounts of blood and therefore allow for cleaner and less stressed, more oxygen carrying red blood cells to his muscles, that of which might actually surpass the normal human heart with epo in the blood.

    i dunno.
