Leadville 100 (caution: racing content, photos)

We chatted with Floyd a little after the race and he seems like a
genuinely nice guy. I still hope he's somehow innocent even though that
looks pretty questionable at best.
The mood at this event is really mellow for a big race. I might even be
tempted to do it myself if it wasn't so long!

Thanks, I was looking for a shot of the bike he was on. I guess he
picked that up before Phonak left road racing. I was hoping he'd be on
some old hardtail with Deore XT from his MTB days.

I forgot to mention, I did see Ibrahim, the one legged guy and we
cheered enthusiastically for him. He came through near the back of the
field and we didn't think he was going to make the first time cutoff, so
I suspect he didn't finish.

I did an event on sat. A 10 hour endurance thing. The lead solo rider
did 100 miles in 8h 10m. I was riding in a team of 4 and his slowest lap
time beat my fastest comfortably. He did 13 laps (130 miles) in the
allocated 10 hours. I used to think I was quite fit!
