  1. Could someone help me with figuring out what are the lightest bikes on the market? Is there
somewhere I could go that lists them all? OR does anyone know which manufacturers have the lightest
cross-country bikes, all mountain bikes, freeride bikes and downhill bikes?

I think most are heavily customized though.

Oh, yeah, we finally got a proper ID on that Marvel girly that resides on my bike. "Jane Grey" from
the Xmen. can you ping me re some scuba stuff? thanks

  7. Do you require the lighter bike for competition or laziness? You can shed kilos of weight just by riding your bike alot. This is a good deal cheaper than paying big bucks for XTR level components.

The lightest bikes I've ever seen were the ones locked to parking meters. The wheels, saddle,
drivetrain, etc... were all stolen. I'll bet those bikes were pretty light.
