As he approaches his 6,000th post (as of this writing), I wish to congratulate Lim and thank him and let him know that he's one of the prime reasons for reading these boards. A quick tongue, an admirable knowledge of the sport and its history, and an eye for ********. He is an icon, he is appreciated.

<cue applause>

Diablo - thank you for your kind words.

I don't know if there will be a round of applause but there you go.

Some day, I might just get to Califiornia and I will try to stay with you up that
climb that you torture yourself on.
Mind you, don't expect me to do the pacemaking !

I'll expect you to do the pintbuying.

I am in competition for a podium in the "Redneck Division".

So at this rate you'll hit the big #6,000 in a little over 6 weeks.

.......I'm tired just looking at the climb.
12,000 ft (nearly 4,000 meters).

Maybe JH would fancy that ???

No!!! Elevation is in feet - 3600 feet of climbing in 11 miles. Don't want to scare you off.

Errr, you can keep that climb, expecially that wall part.

I'd need to lose 20 lbs to even try it. Btw, there's a typo in the pdf (junction is misspelled along the bottom).

That sounds like a lung burner for sure. I could do it. The question is how slow would I be.

Oh, that's alright - it's "only" 3600 ft.

I think the triple would be called for - in fact there's no thinking about it, it would be called for !

Triple by-pass comes to mind.

On a clear day I can see Mt. Diablo from the Bass Lake grade. Awesome sight.

Congrates Lim, watch out though, I'm catching up... I only have 5,900+ posts to go.:D
