1. Please do a search. You will be surprised how many times this topic has come up. 🙂
2. Any reason that you need a 'watch' cycle computer with HRM? Many here use the Polar CS - something series. Cateye, Vetta and VDO (amongst others) also do something similar. Arguably they are more comfortable for riding...

+1 for Polar CS200. I have the CS200cad, and it's been as reliable as any wired unit I've had.

I used the Garmin Edge 305 H/R Monitor a Cadence sensor. Works great on both bikes and also in the car due to the GPS capabilities. I guess you could fashion a wrist band (or maybe there is one available) to use while running.
The Garmin Co. (LIVE) tech support is very easy to reach and for the BEST Pre-sales support and prices go here.

I bought mine from Geoman and love it.
P.S. H/R Monitor strap fits my fat 54 chest.

I can say don't buy the echowell cyclocomputer + HR monitor... pos cost me $180 and stopped working in less than a year.
