Sorry for the jumbled, incoherent and rambling paragraph that follows. I
    sometimes lack proper articulation.

Sorry for assuming you didn't know about ephedrine. I just caught the
rest of the thread and see that you aren't as uninformed as you sounded.

I found it difficult to mind the loss of ephedra-based stacker products
because it was marketed specifically to people who didn't know how to
build their own stacks. Since stacking isn't rocket science that
implies they also weren't able to adequately evaluate the risks and
benefits to them of taking a stack.

I also know someone whose life is in shambles from cooking meth. Life
is messy like that. I don't really mind the guafenison when that's what
    I can get.

  2. Ma Haung has been used for over 5000 years with little problem when used
correctly. The big issue I have is that it is the greedy industry who preyed
on anyone with a buck or two and did not look at the potential long term
problems. I have been in the industry since 92 so I have seen it grow up and
I can state that a lot of companies are only out for the quick buck and care
less if a product gets banned. They will come out with a 'New and Approved'
version and claim it is better. The long term problem is that sooner than
later the government will catch on and finally ban all supplements.

I also have issues when the government uses trumped up charges to ban a
substance based on advertising, misuse and voodoo science, the same science
they disregard when it comes to aspartame. Even with the governments figures
more people die in the USA in 3 hours from Tobacco related diseases then
have died in the past seven years from ephedrine related problems.

As for advertising the FTC is responsible for going after improper ads and
they have but the industry learned a lesson from other industries and change
them regularly and claim as soon as they caught the offending ad they
    changed it.

I have made my own stacks so in a fashion the ban does not effect me that
way. It effects me in that it is another way that the government encroaches
into my personnel space, what I put into my body.

I support the government as it was put together in the 18th century,
currently there is way to much control and not enough freedoms. Laws should
be made to protect the whole and not just the uneducated and misinformed.
People need to be responsible for there actions and stop blaming others for
not protecting them from themselves. If this attitude was around a couple
hundred years ago we would never have formed a country.
