RE: Lost a red suntour superbe brake cable adjuster from a caliper.
Only black campy adjusters are available.
First of all, can you afford a black campy adjuster?? I have one for
sale for only $85, one dollar cheaper than campy charges for a NOS
adjuster.
Second of all, the color usually comes from just the rubber O-Ring,
and you can replace the campy O-Ring with a $.01 industrial O-Ring.
Note that you typically have to buy 500 O-Rings at a time - it's the
minimum order, but luckily the prices are more reasonable than campy's.
Now, third of all, we have reduced your problem to the problem of
finding a red industrial O-ring in quantity 500.
Good luck,

P.S. if it's the adjuster itself that is ENTIRELY red, then call the
local harley dealer and get a recommendation for an anodizing shop.
They can strip and reanodize the adjuster in a different color. You
will probably end up mailing in both the old and new adjusters so that
they can match the color perfectly.
I'm assuming you don't have $170 for a set of TWO campy brake
adjusters - you could just replace the rear one at the same time ??
Better yet, what about replacing the rear O-ring with a black one for
$0.01 ?? If you send me a SASE I can mail you an O-ring.
