  1. What lubes do you folks normally use on your bikes? Particularly on the
chain, suspension pivots, and various bearings. I'm sure this has been
discussed in the past but I couldn't find any info covering it.

I know what kinda porno lubes are best. Astroglide is some good stuff. Of
course the KY warming gel is nice too.

When you use White Lightening are you in a dry or wet area. One shop
recomends it while others say it doesn't work in our wet conditions.

Works well, use the wet or dry lube depending on conditions. Last summer
was pretty dry and dusty, the dry kept the chain clean

I use it here in the summer, and it's pretty dern dry, like ashy dry.
    Works pretty well so far.

Rock N Roll lubrication products work very well.

I do not like the wax build up on the cassette and chainrings from White
Lighting and the other "dry lubes". For me after about 15-20 miles
dry chain noise returns with the dry lubes. I like Tri-Flo or Prolink.
Yes in picks up dust but a quick brush with a fine haired paint brush
    removes the dust.

    (snip)

Yeah, I thought this was a follow-up thread to the "roadie vs. mountain
    biker" thread. 🙂

  9. Prestone Silicone but since I ran out and I was in Auto
Zone I picked up can of STP Silicone.

  10. I've tried all of the above. They picked up way to much
dirt for liking. And some even washed off to soon.

  11. Too much build up. I switched to a teflon.

    Home Brew:

    1 part Mobile One.
3 parts Naptha (you can use paint thinner instead).

The K-Y is water soluble, that's why.

Try roses, strawberries and a little champagne. If that doesn't fix
your lubrication problem, try a synthetic.
