Being a navy cook, shecky wouldn't recognize a garnish if it bit him in
the [censored]. Navy cooks basically spend 90% of their time peeling potatoes
and 10% of their time picking their ass so it's not like they ever really
    *cook* anything <snicker>

Excuse me, but what kind of garnish bites people on the [censored]? :-)

I'm thinking with shecky's vast cooking knowledge [sic] cockroaches
would be considered garnish. Mind you that would be rather high class
    for a navy cook!

I'm sure you're right about [censored] Katz failing to recognize it, though. If
something bit him on the [censored], he'd probably just assume it was a
flirtatious pinch from his "Bathhouse Bubblers" tag-team partner, Greg
    Moron.

I *heard* that shecky was a soap dropper in the showers during his
enlisted years. Apparently it helped gloss over the fact he knew
nothing about cooking. I wonder if that's where he met Greg?

Put the mustard on 1/2 the roast beef and use a sage cream on the
other 1/2. You can put the swiss on the side. You could also do 1/2
croissants instead of dinner rolls, just a thought.

The croissants are higher in fat and we have quite few staff on
diets. Also they are more expensive.

Hate to suggest it but maybe some of those canned "crescent rolls" rather
than rich in butter croissants - surely they aren't any more high in fat
    than dinner rolls?

Liz, I didn't sneer at you or your food. I'm a picky eater. I
won't eat sandwiches that are pre-prepared with stuff like mustard
because I don't *like* mustard. I'm terribly sorry for not liking
    mustard or for wishing I
could put together my own sandwich without condiments. I've been to
too many "pot lucks" where I didn't have any *luck* and found
nothing I wanted to eat, is there something wrong with that? No
    offense intended, it's just
me and my picky ways. I don't eat raw vegetables or salads, either.
But then, I'm not going to be in attendance at your shindig so my
    taste doesn't
    really matter.

You sound a bit like half the members of my family lol
My BIL is awful to cook for. He won't eat anything "fancy". To him
anything that isn't steak and potatoes is fancy. Lasagne is fancy.
Chicken Kiev is fancy. Vegetables are fancy. I'm glad I don't have to
cook for him all the time. I'd be in prison for justifiable homicide!!

    Liz

Funny thing, I would eat your lasagna; I'd definitely eat your chicken kiev.
I'll eat practically any *cooked* vegetable or legume or soup you put in
    front of me 🙂 Peace?

With all due respect, shecky boy couldn't hold his own against a piece
of toilet paper! The US military really drew the short end of the stick
when he signed on. Without the internet to serve as his guide he likely
killed off a lot of his comrads too. I'll bet the US military was
dancing for joy when they saw the last of his sorry ass. And he still
    couldn't recognize garnishes either 😉

For someone who recently said she'd stop giving Sheldon any attention,
you seem to contradict that by repeatedly bringing his name up, or
talking about him. How old are you anyway? I had this idea you were in
your fifties or sixties, so I'd reckon you'd not want to appear so
petulant and childish? Take the high road and ignore him, for Godsake.

That might be how it is in your Canadian military but certainly not in the

Military chefs and cooks can hold their own in compitition against their
    civilian counterparts.
    http://www.acfchefs.org/events/team2004/tt0410c.cfm

Where in that article does it say that they competed against their CIVILIAN
COUNTERPARTS? The article specifically said that the Army team competed in
the MILITARY DIVISION. In other words, they DIDN'T compete against
civilians, they competed against OTHER MILITARY TEAMS. You dolt!

Looks like [censored]'s sock puppet's reading comprehension is on a par with
    [censored]'s own inability to read.

Goomba, I think you have me pegged for someone else. I'm not near the
fifties yet. I don't recall saying I wouldn't give shecky attention as
long as it can be a cheap shot and I don't have to see any of his
replies. I have likely made it clear I won't get into a direct pissing
match with the toolbit but that doesn't stop me from having a little
fun. You see some here know full well that many have shecky kfed but
insist on reposting his verbal nonsense so a little back his way is only
fair. Few here take the high road regarding shecky because of all the
shecky supporters, so why should I? And why are *you* even worrying
about this unless you are one of his supporters as well. I don't tell
you what to post so don't even bother telling me what to post. You were
so concerned at bringing in the US vs. Canada military thing, you likely
missed the tongue in cheek, let's see if we can make shecky's head
burst attitude. Weren't you? I maintain my stance that shecky cannot
and has not ever been able to recognize a garnish.

PS. Shouldn't you be in the chat room with the rest of the elite?

I didn't even bother going to the article. I for one am sick & tired of
the *shecky supporters*. Shecky can say whatever he wants and if anyone
even dares to talk back, the shecky supporters come out in full force.
Well shecky can go screw himself & take all his supporters with him for
all I care. I'll post what I want. I will say I concur with your
assessment of Goomba's comprehension skills. Pity ;(

I don't think we get them out here. Just going to get some small dinner

The channel doesn't have an elite. For there to be an elite, we'd
need to print and distribute RFC Channel Elite membership cards. Our
printer is out of ink, and none of these bozos will give me their
mailing addresses, anyway. So everyone is equally un-elite. :-)

Some of the best food I have ever eaten was at one of the Peace Corps
camps in Puerto Rico for two months in the summer of 1964. The cooks
were all natives, ex-Air Force cooks from Ramey AFB, and the food was
sublime. They appeared to really enjoy their jobs and did them very well.

Luckily the training program required us to be very active, or we would
    all have gained mucho weight.

Nothing to it. Take some heavy cream, stir or whip it to the desired
constancy after adding some powdered sage. I don't measure, I season to
taste. I like the cream almost runny but if you want a thicker, fluffier
cream go ahead and whip it. Do not add sugar.
