As I'm getting back into cycling I've been picking up various
magazines to read related to cycling. So far I've read Cycling Plus,
Cycling Weekly, What Mountain Bike and Mountain Biking. As I work
nights its always nice to have something to read during the lunch
break. However the subject matter is a bit hit and miss for me so I
was wondering if I stated what I'm actually interested in and not
interested in if someone with a good knowledge of the cycling scene
could tell me of good sites, forums and magazines/fanzines to read.
What I'm interested in;
Country cycling and routes (not racing) either road or offroad
Bike Maintenance
Retro bikes like Choppers and other Raleigh type models.
Bike reviews (all types)
Comprehensive reviews with regard equipment/components etc.
Commuting
Bike industry/retail information
Bike technology
Good adverts for suppliers/dealers etc.
Touring world wide.
Not interested in;
Tour De France or other similar racing and results.
Articles related to such races.
I got someone to get me a copy of Cycling Weekly and it took about 3
mins to get through it skipping the bits I wasn't interested in.
However the two mountain bike magazines are good for 3 or 4 hours it
seems and Cycling Plus is probably good for a couple hours. Are there
such things as bike fanzines?
