Ride descriptions do not need to sell the day; they need to let people judge whether it suits them. Labels such as “fast” or “well-equipped” are too vague to do that job. A preference presented like a requirement muddies the decision instead of clarifying it. People should be able to tell what is genuinely necessary and what is just a preference.
For a road ride, I’d rather see the expected effort described in plain terms and necessary equipment separated from nice-to-have choices. That is more useful than a broad ability label, without turning the description into a coaching brief. What detail do you most want spelled out before deciding whether to join: the expected riding effort, or what equipment is actually required?
Expected effort first. A list of required kit is useful, but it won’t tell me whether I can hold the pace. Distance, climbing and whether the group regroups give me a better feel for that; the kit list is usually easier to check against what I own.
Total climbing alone can hide a lot: one long steady ascent and several steep ramps can feel very different at the same gain. I’d want the climb profile, and where the group regroups, especially after climbs. “Regroups” without saying where still leaves you guessing whether you’ll be chasing on the next section.

If the group rolls on before everyone arrives, the slower riders are still chasing. Put that beside the climb profile and people can judge the effort far better than from total climbing alone.

I’d prefer the summit as the stated regroup, with the wait rule spelled out too. Otherwise you know where the marker is, but not whether the group actually waits there.
