Making a frame?

I've made a couple of giraffe frames and several unicycles without
frames but I think it would be a struggle to build something
better/cheaper than a nimbus in my shed.

I think you'd really need some specific reason to have a go (Coker
frame, trials requirements, etc). Building stuff is fun and that is
probably reason enough, though 🙂

I've built a muni frame from scratch, it took me 3 months and weights
at about 1kg (that's 2.2lbs) It's heavier then a Nimbus definitely, but
must say that it's really strong. The overall weight of my muni ends up
at around 6kg. That's the typical weight of most muni right? You can
find a picture of my unicycle in my small album. Planning on shaving
weight off by changing to a lighter but stronger rim.

Main reason for building it was that unicycles are rare over in
Singapore

If I ever take my unicycling to a pretty serious level (I intend to...
but do I have the skill? Most would probably say no.) I plan to get a
titanium frame build for me, prolly a titanium seat post and I'll drop
the KH seat for the Miyata (it's just a comfort thing currently).
Although I'm not sure what seats will be like in 2 or so years time so
we'll see.

Just out of interest why is the KH seat heavier than the Miyata, the
foam shouldn't weigh like anthing, thus meaning you should be able to
get the Miyata weight, but nice and comfortable WITHOUT making an
airseat.

Actually, the foam is the single heaviest part of the KH seat.

Serious? Well I might think about buying myself the Miyata saddle and
changing them over. KH if I'll have to travel a long distance, Miyata if
it's serious riding. Eventually when I have a car I think I'd be using
the Miyata more as I won't have to ride EVERYWHERE!

i was thinking about triming the foam down in my kh i have small hands
which is a problem for seat out sometimes

Back to the frames, what is the strongest design (not actual model)- the
standard round shouldered, Nimbus II style, Nimbus [censored] etc etc?
